Suburban Melbourne should narrow it down...
The diagram represents the relatively short period where these sidings had direct access with the main line.

I'll have one go before the clue: the entry to Bandolier.

"RoderickSmith"

Not a clue where that is, but if it's not in the Melbourne Urban Growth Boundary, it can't be correct.

Bandolier was one of the cluster of dg sidings between Wodonga and Tallangatta.

I am not check against anything: one of the sidings between Somerton and Ford Upfield.

That was an early application of dual gauge: whenever a set of points was needed, the bg separated from the sg, so that the points were not dg.

No traction at all here for over a month.  The photo below is of a suburban Melbourne location with a former siding superimposed as close as possible to where it was once located (double yellow lines).  The red boxes represent buildings and the thick amber lines roadways.  Where is it?

Nice visual quiz!

I don't know the name of the facility served by this siding (although it does have the look of an Army siding about it - possibly for ammunition?) but I have located it as being off the Albion - Jacana Goods Line, immediately north of the present-day Keilor Park Drive.  Doesn't appear on the 1966 Melways, so probably even earlier...

Good one splod.  That's the one.  I came across the 1945 aerial photographs of Melbourne and thought it would be of interest to others to see the Albistore siding superimposed on what is now a fairly established Keilor East residential subdivision.

I am looking at the screen from a distance, to avoid reading the names.

AWG between Dandenong and Lyndhurst but sooooo long ago since I went in there the layout has faded so it's a roughie.
