Lets see if you know your tracks!! What station is that???

  Dreadnought Assistant Commissioner

Location: Oooh, look! [Pointing upwards] An eagle!!
Not Alamein, Moe or Ashburton.

All someone needs to do is name the station -
then I'll post a unedited larger image of the station.

David is looking at it the right way:
-  The site still has overhead power
-  Double track to single track
-  Only one platform
-  Passengers can still travel by rail to/from the location
-  It had sidings in the 1970s but now they've all been lifted

Dreadnought

Ashburton?
"Kilonewton"

Ashburton doesn't have that many sidings.

There can't be too many possibilities. Left to right would be Down. Therefore the platfform is on the left when facing the Down direction, and the sidings are on the right where the line is singled. Up trains diverge to the Up line after departing the platform (or at least they did 35 years ago). If it still has overhead, it must be in the suburban area.

But I'm out of ideas!

That looks like Sandringham.

If someone wins do they have to post a new diagram or does Dreadnought do it for you?

Nearly there...

It's not Sandringham, St Kilda or Port Melbourne but Cageyr is getting warmer...

I assumed that the winner would post another but if the winner wants me to do another, that's fine too.  I'll leave it up to the winner to decide!

These are all stabs in the dark!

Think I might have an idea given the last clue. Is it Graham and the Bridge Street sidings?

Well done, DavidB!!!  It is Graham Station on the Port Melbourne line.  If memory serves, even now the light rail goes from double track to single track nearby.

Here's a larger version of the diagram.

David - Are you happy to do one or do you want me to do another??

That signalbox makes it difficult, otherwise it looks a lot like a 1970's Frankston with the down lines facing left.

It could also be a post-Warburton line and pre colour-light Lilydale?

Good guesses, but not Frankston or Lilydale. But you are closer than Cressy. Smile
