Right now...

-Big smeg slighting strikes
-Hail the size of 20c coins
-Bucketing rain
-Serious gusts of wind
-Power going all funny.

I'm not fussed really. If the power dies, my laptop can last for 4hrs on the battery, and I can amuse myself with a Train Simulator.

Train Simulator? Surprised I haven't played one of those since June.

The only flash we have here (In Broadmeadows, Vic) is the flashing of next doors Sensor light every time a car goes past. Razz

I am amazed you can stay online with thunderstorms approaching. I lost a modem a few years ago with a lightning strike to the pole at front of house. During storms last night I had 3 power surges and ended up turning off TV and microwave. Computer is always unplugged when storms around.

I work in the centre of the metropolitan area (near Lidcombe), and was there last night when it hit. No hail, but some pretty impressive rain, along with a great light and sound show. Going home at 2200, there was still a bit of rain, and the lightning seemed to be over the St George area. Great storm.

Vote Liberal - because, frankly, Labor voters are peasants and wouldn't appreciate a good Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz. Jeeves! Half a bot. of something, if you please.

Yeah. All night i watched it go right past me. It was a good light show as well. Its a shame it was to far away otherwise i would have goten out the camera.
The only rain that we got here was a few specs on the back of the ute.

I Work over at mascot during our lunch break at 8pm we got a great sight and sound show. The storm got us at just after 9pm no hail. little bit of rain but lots of thunder and lightning.I left work at 11pm got to mascot station to find that the east hills & south lines were all smegged up 15/20 minute delays. when we got to glenfield the driver was given some type of warning form. when i got off the train here in mac fields the driver stayed in the platform for about 2mins then headed off toward ingleburn at a crawl. there were at least 5 RAILCORP vehicles there plus the cops also there was FIREbrigade tape strung around 2 light poles at the south end of the station were the staff car park is. So it must have been bad here too. greg g Smile
