I prayed that night.

Was it the leatherman's hotdog?

37M-1979T-105M - 110M-1910T-42M ran empty towards Dandenong. It would have departed FSS shortly before 8:30.

An unidentified Hitachi came up from Frankston due at FSS at 8:42.

Unconfirmed Hitachi sighting this morning, departing possibly empty cars from Sydenham/Watergardens at around 0750 this morning.

If only the traffic lights were quicker to show a green arrow! Mad Laughing

Spent the day at Westall, where it was joined by 196M and co in the afternoon.

It's our favourite arrow again. Didn't you get your own forums Mr Yellow_13? Go post your useless Hitachi sightings there.

On a happier topic, does anyone have a photo of 233M? (How appropriate, that's what page it is!) I need to know what kind of panto it has, and a Google image search doesn't have anything. Sad

233M had a rear mounted Metro-Vick panto. Don't have photos of it available, though.

Thanks tons Grey_Ghost.

The reason I wanted to know was so I could tell you all that it's possible to tell apart all six Hitachi sets just from seeing their pantos - with the exception of two sets which have the same pattern.

10-1909-21-49-1987-196 and 46-1975-22-65-1982-88 both have Faiveley-Faiveley-Metrovick-Metrovick
197-1981-3-105-1999-178 has four Faiveleys
57-1922-184-179-1977-129 has alternating Faiveley and Metrovick
144-1919-9-233-2007-23 has four Metrovicks (one rear-mounted - the only rear-mounted panto car left)
37-1979-36-110-1910-42 has one Metrovick (on 37M) and Faiveleys on the rest.

Hopefully this will help you all know what you're looking at when you aren't close enough to see the numbers. Very Happy

Thank you kindly, Sir. Now is there a reliable way to determine which set I have just passed when both are travelling in opposite directions at around 60kph and it's dark Question
