Hey boys, I'm looking at buying a house close to the line in Winchelsea. I know there's passenger trains going up and back but I have no idea about the freight lines. So basically I'm just wondering how many trains go up and back on that line within a week?Currently max trains are :
Cheers
Pass - Weekdays 3 each way Saturdays 3 Sundays 2
Short term like to become Weekdays 4 each way (extras will be 1545 Dn and 0745 Up), Saturdays 3,
Sundays 3 (extras will be 1300 Up and 1700 Dn)
Freight : Weekdays normally - Up late afternoon ex Warrnambool cross 1912 Dn Pass at Warncoort Loop, Down late overnight cross am Up Pass at Camperdown . (Sometimes 0930 ex Geelong , cross Midday Up Pass at Camperdown.)
Thanks for the reply mate! Dont get the Pass,Up, Down talk but I got the idea on the sort of traffic on that line. Are there timetables available for those trains?Currently max trains are :

Is there a timeframe available for the commencement of additional containers for meat export ?
It has been a while since these "big plans" for more meat exports from Warnnambool was announced. Like almost all announcements regarding rail in this state nothing has actually been delivered thus far.Haven't seen anything in the local paper. Penola looks like it's going ahead, not that it will go by rail...
Does anyone have a view of what might be happening in terms of the additional export volumes from the meat works?
The milk plant at Penola is being developed my Midfield ,the owners of the meat works at Warrnambool! Commodity company Louis Dreyfuss has also taken a stake in this operation! The time frame for it starting starting production is 3rd quarter 2017. Currently meat is being transported by road to Penola from Warrnambool for storage then transported back to Warrnambool for further processing. The export of this meat is handled by rail. What's going In at Penola ?
Meatworks or that once proposed pulp mill ?
Very large canned Milk powder factory. There are already hundreds of truck movements running on the highway to Portland for logs.
Does anyone know why an N class with occupied carriages was stopped between Rowans Lane and Jubilee Park Road coming into Warrnambool at 23:00? All lights were on and people were sitting in the carriages. LRT
Was back on last night with a single G class didnt see the number. Approx 10.15pm at Surfcoast highway crossingDoes anyone know why an N class with occupied carriages was stopped between Rowans Lane and Jubilee Park Road coming into Warrnambool at 23:00? All lights were on and people were sitting in the carriages. LRT
