Tumulla Signal box 1957:

A late-running up goods hauled by Giesl ejector equipped 3616 drifts towards Tumulla signal box as 3636 on the Central West Express waits impatiently for the staff to continue its assault on Tumulla bank.

The staff exchanged, 3636 commences its climb up Tumulla bank as the goods continues downhill towards Bathurst............

This is one of the activities contained within the 36 class loco package, release now only a little over a week away.

A couple of days later, we catch more Tumulla action as a down double-headed goods works upgrade banked by 3636 as a Sydney-bound double-header slows to take the staff. The signaller (now where have I seen him before?) seems more interested in the photographer than in the on-track action.

Some time later, the goods passes the Central West Express at Perthville.

Those 36's look good! Are we going to get all those wagons with them?

What route is that on?

Tumulla is on the main west line from Lithgow. Is this a new route or something?

I know where Tumulla is in the real world scheme of things, I've just never heard of a route that has it.

Personally I can't wait to get my hands on the Pigs. Very Happy

Everything you see in the screenshots is in the 36 class pack- as at 1.00am today we were adding the last of the rollingstock to the pack and testing them in activities; hence the screenshots above. I'll be releasing the full list of locomotives and passenger and goods rollingstock in the next 24 hours.

Tumulla Bank route - this is a short route created by Chris Nelson which covers the western mainline from Perthville to Gresham including the infamous 1 in 40 Tumulla Bank, a railfan hotspot between Blayney and Bathurst and an ideal location for testing the skills of drivers and their trains to the limit.

Sorry its been so long, totally forgot about it. I meant to tell Yuri when he got back. When I went to play the second activity (tum-2) shown above. I get a message about a missing consist. I think its the triple 36s consists shown above.

Sorry again

Nathan

There was never a crossing loop at Perthville, only a short siding. Maybe you mean Georges Plains?

No it doesn't. I was thinking about adding it, but I decided against it to hold down the number of objects per tile.

If you use 20M or 25M fences you can halve the additional object count. This might hurt the route visually as a consequence though

The said diagram of Perth/Perthville shows a No1 Goods Loop (not a Crossing Loop) plus a deadend No2 Goods Siding. There also are no signals. The Loop is also very short. Hence Perthville is not a crossing station. But Georges Plains closer to Tumulla is.

Oh well, you get that I guess. Perhaps that will have to be something I fix at another time

Mr. Anderson... surprised to see me?
