There is also a SydWest Stage 1 route which covers from Seven Hills to Richmond.

It is available from www.train-sim.com

Thanks
Geoffrey

Was this project stopped after Stage 1??

Yeah, the author of this route had other things in life to do, and couldnt find time to complete it.

The good thing is that although the author couldn't finish the route he was at least able to relaease part of it, which we can all benefit from. Maybe that's the best way to approach large projects, release a bit at a time so that even if something can't be finished benefit can still be gained from what has been done.

A real credit to the author.

Thanks
Geoffrey

SydWest Stage 2 is in the process of being constructed by Southern Star Rail & will include the main line between Blacktown & Mt Druitt and between Seven Hills & Westmead.

So the revival of SydWest has begun. New name for SydWest is Sydney's Western Mainline. Expect it to be released later this year. Anyone wishing to help with the construction of SydWest Stage 2 may leave me a PM or email me at southernstarrail[AT]hotmail[DOT]com.

Great to hear, looking forward to the new route. Any chance that you may be able to extend the route to Penrith in either Stage 2 or some later stage.

Keep up the good work.

Stage 3 should include the section between Mt Druitt & Emu Plains as well as between Westmead & Granville/Merrylands.

I'd be interested to know how the Gwabegar branch is progressing in his NSW NW route.

I have nothing to do with the Great Southern Mainline, so I'm not the one to ask.

As far as the Gwabegar branch, the track hasn't even been laid that far yet

Mr. Anderson... surprised to see me?

Not that I know of.

Have some patience and see what happens in the coming months. It should be a good period for MSTS
