MSTS Routes: Completed, In Progress or Planned

For your information...I am currently working on the Casino-Murwillumbah branch line, including short sections of the mainline around Casino, in NE NSW. I would like to make it available, probably in stages, as soon as I am happy with it.....and I get permission to use the shapes etc. that I have "borrowed" from other routes!

My home-town is Ballina and I know that branch like the back of my hand.

It's covered in google-earth but not all high-res. unfortunately.

For resource I believe the ARHS (Australian Railway Historical society) have a CD with all of NSW track & signal diagrams, most likely including the Murwillumbah branch.
They also have a 'Byways of Steam #18' includes the Tweed railway, but I'm not sure if it's relevant.

Also for topographical maps in 1-10,000 scale, those issued by the CMA (Central Mapping Authority) are a great reference.

Go to www.arhsnsw.com.au , click on the ARHS/nsw Bookshop icon, then the Online shopping cart button and search for "Track & Signal"
it will take you to the CD-Rom for Track & Signal Diagrams.

Question about this, its proberly more like a request or something so im kinda ready for the flaming, but...just wondering if the Melbourne city metro line was in the works? with lines like Sydnam, city loop ect.? just wondering thats all coz i would like to see that but still im ready for the flaming just throwing something out there.

hi all
any more updated news on the north west lines in NSW. i live in Richmond and have a rail traveler for the last week and have found a lot of interest in the lines.

looking forward to seeing MSTS2

You may have to wait for MSTS2 until the NSW-NW comes out, as I've finished track work, but due to the size of the route and the amount of trackage, most computers aren't able to run it.

One of the testers has quote a powerful computer with 4GB of RAM, and has said that you really have to make sure to save it every 15 minutes or so when running, otherwise the sim crashes.

Call it a learning experience.

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know that my route AU NSW Regional And Intercity is now in progress at last Very Happy

, I am at the moment working on Broardmeadow's yards as it is today it's very confusing to do but I will get there even if it means me stuffing it up and starting all over again Very Happy

Please note: I cannot make any contact with some of the author's to use the objects that I need to use within my route so I have desided to use the items I need but I will not use any items from the following routes that have been created:

Coals To Newastle
Blue Mountains - Unless I get written permission by Mike Simpson
Illawarra Stage 1
Coal Road
Northern Illawarra
Central West
Southern Main - Unless I get written permission by Russell Beer
Melbourne(Footscray) To Ballarat
Sydney West Project Stage 1 - Unless I can get written permission by Ben Johnson

And anyother routes I have added to MSTS
I will be using all the default routes objects as I have every right too, just like all the other route builders out there...

Some objects will be created by me when I get Trainsim Modeler and I will also be building my own rollingstock, trains "Such as the Hunter railcars and the Hset Oscars" etc...

Notice: Due to some of the routes that have been constructed already, I will be adding the author's names to the copyright section of my route and I know what you are thinking when you read this part and my answer is NO I will not merge any routes at all I will build and construct my own, and I know that you all are going to disbelieve me by me saying that because of what I have done before and I never want to go though that again...
