I'm sure some reason of leaving the engine foul would be bought up who's wagons are they in the sidings anyway I have seen PN leave whole trains foul so they don't have to walk and block services on main lines this is only a yard with access from both ends no harm done just shunt from other end Idea

2819 had a master controller failure some time before the picture was taken, it was dragged into JRW where the fault was repaired, the wagons in the back ground are CFCLA

Maybe 42101 should think twice before he takes a stab at a companies crew Rolling Eyes

And what would you know about other operators having the cranks with QR National? Are you from a rail company?

Perhaps some actual facts would be nice Rolling Eyes

MJOINER have you shunted Junee yard as i have?
Do you leave equipment foul of roads when you shunt?
Do you respect other operators when you work in multi user areas?
Throw the first stone sport as long as you have never disrespected other operators.
Seems that you QRN blokes have a massive chip on your shoulders to me. Laughing

no operator is perfect
so either attack everyone on their little mistakes
or say nothing unless it is a serious issue

Dear 42101

Please look closely at the photo.

Incase you are not aware, the wagons that are left foul by 2819 were actually wagons that were on hire to us. Very Happy I don't see any harm where the 28 was parked, as the two roads it was using were used by QR National.

Ok, so now tell me. Where do you work where QR National operates? I didn't think QRN operated near Sydney terminal.

At Yennora the other operator is Patricks and we operate with them quite well. Not that you would know.

I think you will find that QRN is not the only operator to have, in your words "disrespected other operators"

I don't think we have a chip on our shoulders, we just get blamed for everything under the sun, mainly by people who think they know what they are talking about.

Mjoiner Thank you for that well reasoned reply mate Very Happy .
When i was a terminal operator i went out of my way to ensure that i never left a vehicle foul of another road as i would not like it done to me so why should i do it to others.
When its pouring rain on a cold winters night in Parkes or Junee you did not want to be stuffing around doing extra work because some other bloke was feeling lazy or tired when he was doing a shunt prior to you doing yours and made your job even harder.
We all should be respectfull of others in our industry although that does not always happen.
If you had read previous posts of mine you would know of my work in the industry prior to being made Redundent by Pac/nat.
Cheers Greg G Smile

Not all roads are accessible from both ends. Some have been spiked over from memory...

Not too long ago at Junee, someone left an SSR GM in front of one of our 81s, and behind it was about 20 CFCLA flats. How convenient Rolling Eyes

Cheers

42101,QRN (Interail) blokes don't have chips on shoulders as much as other companies have grudges against us, you get treated the way you treat someone else keep that in mind and you might loose the chip on your shoulder some day, I have shunted Junee yard along with all Metro freight yards and all the way up the North coast + Acacia Ridge and Fisherman Island, taking note that PN seems to be the worst offending operator for inconvenience to other operators just look at what is going on at Acacia Ridge and why QRN took it back because PN can't handle a bit of competition (I lost my chip now you loose yours).

GM42 is still in Grafton yard today. Also G534 - 2819 are in the yard facing south today. Unfortunately the train is parked right in front of the GM. As the sun is out today would have been ideal to get a photo of the GM but you can't see it view blocked by a container.

2819 is leading both GMs on the Main South, heading towards Melbourne on 1BM7. Not sure if 2819 is going all the way or whether it will come off at Junee.

Now that you mention it, 2819 is parked in a rather obstructing position. I have never seen that occur here in Queensland. Why stop and park there irrespective of whether or not the wagons are hired by QRNational?
