Now that you mention it, 2819 is parked in a rather obstructing position. I have never seen that occur here in Queensland. Why stop and park there irrespective of whether or not the wagons are hired by QRNational?

It's not the end of the world but it does suggest a certain slackness on the part of whoever parked it there. I'm sure anyone here who has ever learned to shunt will tell you that one of the first things they tell you is to never leave anything foul of another road if you can help it.

I bet they're all wondering who left that (ex) narrow gauge trash there! The 2800s are good locomotives though. Those 423 (ex-1502) Class Clydes are Maxi-Cab rubbish just like their narrow gauge counter parts.

If you bothered to go back several post's you would read why it is parked where it was,

I'm sorry if you have misunderstood my point; so let me make it more clear. This type of 'stabling' does not occur in Queensland. The fact that this locomotive had a 'master controller failure' and was dragged, towed, pushed, or blown by another locomotive/person did not even need to be part of my consideration.

Hope this helps.

You miss understood mine, that is where the Loco failed, stopped, failed to proceed, did not go any further, it was not stabled there and no we do not stable loco's like this either,

I'm sorry to hear that the trusty 2800 failed. I heard that it failed again recently.

I have one question though. Does 2819 still have ATP equipment? I wouldn't have thought that it should, but from what I've seen, it would leave a sizeable hole in the dash.

Anyone know the current where-abouts of 2819? I'm in Adelaide now and tomorrow I will be returning to Singleton via Bendigo and the Main South to Goulburn and would like to catch it somewhere...

Cheers,
David.

It was at Yennora on Sunday afternoon after failing apparently. Don't know how it's going now.

Thanks for that. You never know, it may need ATP down south at a later date.

Well hopefully she comes back over here to SA, what ever happens hopefully she doesnt dissappear like last time she was in Dynon/Altona Laughing Is there any chance of someone taking a pic of her ?
Was it her performance? is that why she was sent back or do they need a shunter over there? Plus I thought the 421 class locos were the shunters
