Does the lack of posts and comments in here mean that there is no Rail Activity in the ACT??? I'm on holidays shortly and was thinking of a short trip from Sydney down to Canberra, maybe Tumut and Cooma and home via Cowra. Was thinking of looking at train stuff along the way....
But no one is home. |
Whatdya mean no-ones at home?

Think of the ACT forum as a old folks home. We're all here, you just have to wake us up
What did you have in mind to look at in the area and when were you planning on travelling?

Ta da, yeah were all here... Monday, Duffman, Fireman Dave et al...
Sometimes we just go through phases of not actually doing much posting on RP because we cant be assed or just dont have anything to say in relation to topics relevant to this particular forum.
FWIW, things have quieted down a little bit in the Kingston yard (being the main source of RP discussions in respect of ACT), less activity atm due to other commitments by volunteers, less trains being run at the moment due to the timing of the year and the general coldness.
As with all societies, some prioritisation has taken place to focus on a few tasks and of course, money and available workforce plays a large determining factor in what actually gets done. 1210 has been the loco priority and there are a few other smaller projects on the side, such as some plodding along on sleeping car NAM2341 and former baggage/mailvan MHN2366. Ultimately, stuff gets done when it can get done with available $$$ and volunteers.
Cheers,
M
