I was thinking, if we had a thread where RP members could post the so-called 'Cityrail service interupptions, and some other RP members would post the cause of the delay. So, I'll start off. If a mod likes it, it can be made a sticky.

Carlingford Line - Delays of up to 15 minutes
CityRail advises that trains are being delayed on the Carlingford Line following a freight company's train breakdown at Rosehill earlier this evening.

Rail Control staff are endeavouring to bring services back to normal timetable as quickly as possible. Delays of up to 15 minutes can still be expected.

What train caused this. And let me guess, it was heading to Sandown.

Adric: So what is a railway station?
The Doctor: Well, a place where one embarks and disembarks from compartments on wheels drawn along these tracks by a steam engine - rarely on time. Under 16 years old. No longer a member.

As usual the signal boxes are not told of freight cancellations. 1293 crew for Saturday at Canberra to shunt train are shown not required on roster received in The Fortress at 1720hours and the Saturday train running issued at 1729 does not show 2194 running back to Clyde, so maybe it wasn't 1293 that stuffed up Confused

So long as the XPs are working correctly and at full efficiency can be 5 minutes late at Picton and on time Moss Vale, if nothing running ahead to block it.

As in when someone doesn't run the fuelie through Picton (and then when the fuelie doesn't take the Pilot Staff leaving the worm to get a SPA)?

Newcastle & Central Coast Line - Delays of up to 30 minutes
CityRail advises that some trains are being delayed on the Newcastle & Central Coast Line following an earlier bushfire requiring the line to be closed for safety reasons at Hawkesbury River today.

Rail Control staff are endeavouring to bring services back to normal timetable as quickly as possible.

The following services experienced delays;

12.28pm Newcastle to Central (due 3.10pm) - 30 minute delay
1.51pm Wyong to Central (due 3.40pm) - 10 minute delay
1.15pm Central to Newcastle (due 4.11pm) - 20 minute delay

Please note the 1.28pm Newcastle to Central (due 4.10pm) is currently running up to 25? behind schedule following earlier mechanical problems at Newcastle.

Just how long does a minor delay have to be before it becomes a 'major delay' Rolling Eyes
