Sighted around 3:00PM yesterday through Sunbury with a G class and about 30 grain hoppers. Also sighted on Friday with a G and XR558. It is very unusal to have a freight through Sunbury at 3PM after the Fast Snail project.

Ok, keep listing them if you sight them running to this time. It seems to be running to the old 9083 path which used to be 14:20 ex TYD.

Cheers.

Was it exclusively grain? Did you recall seeing flats on it? That'll tell you pretty quickly what it was doing.

That's an attention-getter!

No, it was all grain with no flats. G514 was the loco on both trains. I confirmed this with someone Cool

Must have been an extra grain - they do very rarely run up to Bendigo (especially if they are going to the direction of Piangil, Deniliquin or Moulamein or anywhere in between...)

That's an attention-getter!

They did run one last week to presumably Woorineen. I heard it screach by on its way out of Bendigo around 03 00 (sorry..don't recall the exact time), and heard it screach back past around 18 00. Loco's involved escape me....and i wasn't taking a great deal of notice at 3 am.

I'm not sure if anyone will read this in time, but 9083 container to Deniliquin is coming through Sunbury at 3:25PM today.

Great!, I also saw it at Sunbury zooming through the station, unfortunately I didn't have my camera so I couldn't get a photo. But I can't wait to see your photos that you put in your gallery.

9083 was running 11 minutes early when it came through Sunbury at 3:14 with G512 and X47, 26 containers, 2 oil tankers and a grain wagon.

9083 is scheduled at 3:25PM until Thursday.

9083 had G512 yesterday. It came through the STATION TRACK instead of the middle track! (could anyone provide an explination for this?) 9083 didn't come at it's scheduled time today.

I would say that it is not out of the bounds of possibility that freight trains at Sunbury will be as rare as hens teeth somewhat soon.

They're all gonna go via Echuca-Toolamba-Seymour as soon as the works are finished Echuca-Toolamba.
