V/Line did have a mention on their website of track works over an extended period - have they been doing concrete sleeping like the Geelong line, or just tamping and picking up the old rail trackside?

I think they have been doing tamping.
Of note BL32 should now be in Melbourne after a visit to Swan Hill.

Of note BL32 was still in Bendigo last night shutdown next to the ballast wagons.

That would explain why it didn't appear when it was supposed to at Sunbury on Friday!
Anyone got an idea when it will be returning to Melbourne?

The BL was back in Bendigo this afternoon around 1400. Didn't stay for long, as it was gone by 1700.

BL returned to South Dynon last night for servicing. BL will return back to Bendigo tonight with 18 goofy's, where they are going after that is unknown at this stage.

BL32 thru Sunbury at 20:12 last night with the 18 goofies. Thanks to the driver who gave me a toot!
Also of note the station master informed me that earlier in the day (around 10 past 5) a light loco had gone through bound for Melbourne.

Was in Bendigo this arvo, BL32 was facing southbound with about 15 hoppers on and 2000 pigeons cleaning up the grain on top of them. I gather it was shutdown. No other Loco's seen.
Coming home on the up pass from Swan Hill was quieter than going on the whinning V/locity.
Cheers

Hope T356 isnt going back up there. She is rostered on Link Tours for Saturday night, unless the train goes back up there next week.

It didn't come back into Bendigo on time on the up. Assuming it's still at Goornong.

Thanks for the time thru Sunbury emd645e3c.
Also of note BL32 was scheduled to return to Melb today with arrival at totty about 6pm. I'm not sure if this will still run now because of the ballast.
Oh yeah what a good lash up! 3 VR locos on one train!!!
