You should see my work when I was 15. 14, and 13 too...................some of my best works. Haven't had the time to do much MSTS in the past few years a/c school.

Just a tip - get the work more accurate and right, like you know, 90-100% right, then post it to forums - you'll have less negative posts then!

*points in direction of comengs*

Listen to Mr. Julian, he speaks the truth. People would much rather you wait until you have it pretty much finished and then you start a thread about it, rather than start one when you've only just started. Unless of course you're asking for help or advice, in which case by all means go for it.

If you are going to post screenshots here, expect people to be critical of them, and listen to what they say. That's how you improve. Don't tell them to shut up, that only makes you look like a prat.

i lafed so haerd i fargot too spel prorperlee 2

Seriously, Squeekazoid, you'd do well to take a deep breath, read a few tutes about reskinning, use Google to find reference material and ask questions of those who have experience at reskinning. We all started somewhere and your enthusiasm is admirable, but if you want to channel your enthusiasm effectively, it might be an idea to spend some time in preparation to ensure a quality result. PM me if you'd like to discuss it.

Cheers,
Matt

You really need to calm down. As mentioned, you need to take constructive critisim on board and think about it. But instead your acting like a child in a playground and being stubbin. When you made this thread you could off said..... How can i improve this model? Then you would off been given some ideas on how to improve it!

Also you need to remember that everyone is hot on spelling on Railpage Australia™. It's not a chat room or a sms service. Remember them english lesson's at school? You will need to use them english skills to get through life.

Umm. I'm not even going to try and attempt to comprehend that. Mate seriously, if you cannot take a little bit of critisism how are going to cope out in the real world?

Squeekazoid,

If we are going to be serious then I don’t know about you, but I was taught to read and write in the first year of primary school. All through my school years I had to read books and in turn write in my exercise book. From these books I learned about sentence structure and how words looked, which by familiararity allowed me to recall and write the simpler of those words from memory. If I wrote it down and it didn’t look right it was usually because it wasn’t.

There were no “yer”, “u r” or “ova” etc, etc, words in these, or subsequent books I ever read. ‘Yes’, ‘you are’ and ‘over’ only require one or 2 extra keystrokes and take very little extra effort.

Do you read books or newspapers? Surely these would give you an example of how to write in English and what words look like. How is it you can learn how to repaint a MSTS tram but you can not learn were to put a full stop in a sentence? I don’t get the impression you have learning difficulties or are dyslexic.

Blaming teachers is lame and in my opinion dishonest. Do you expect us to believe that for the last ten years all your English teachers have been duds? I’m not asking you to write prose like William Shakespeare. I just want legible text that I don’t need to read ten times over or need to get a homey boy to translate for me. It’s not rocket science.

As you are 15 you are about to enter the workforce soon. What sort of job are you interested in getting as a matter of interest? If I saw a CV or application letter from anyone using the same sort of grammar as you do it would be a short term source of amusement to my co-workers and then straight in the recycling bin. Your writing speaks volumes and it’s all bad.

That aside, you have learned how to repaint MSTS models which is more than some people can do. Keep up the good work, heed any advise given and take up offers of assistance if desired. Like most things in life, the more you do it the better you get. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Regards,

Marek.

I'd have to say the same there.

My only advice is to take your time, and don't rush it because you want people to hurry up and have it. If it is your goal for everyone to hurry up and have it, it will always come out horrible. Also, i'd say about 95% (or even more) people would rather have as realistic a livery as possible rather than a made up one. I for one would rather drive a real looking consist rather than a loco with a bunch of colours on it which i could have whipped up in 5 minutes.

It looks as if you use MS Paint. A couple of pointers with that: Take a look at other peoples liveries. Zoom in and look at how the colours mix in with each other and you will eventually learn how to make things look sort of 3D even though they arnt. (Also get a better paint program and learn how to use it Very Happy )

By the way; what exactly is a 15 year old doing up at 12am on a school night?

Thus contributing to your poor learning in class. Im sure you are tired or get dristracted easily because you havent slept long enough, therefore not learning english as well as you could. Try going to sleep at a normal time and see what happens.

Where did you get this tram?

Why is there NO mention of the original creator of the model or original textures in your readme?

Have you sought, and do you have, permission to release this reskin from the original author of this model?

Just because an item is freeware doesn't give you the right to remove details referring to the original creator, nor to alter and release models without reference to the original copyright author.

It would appear that you are in breach of copyright and should withdraw this model pending correction of the above serious errors and omissions.
