G'Day All..
I am a man in deep distress.... I have just recetly installed a new hard drive etc into my system and quickly proceeded to install my Microsoft Train Simulator.... All went well untill I inserted CD2..
Somewhere, somehow it has been scratched and now crashes out half way through....
I have tried every thing to repair it but to no avail...
Can anyone help me out with with this problem?
I don't want to have to buy the whole package again.

Many Thanks
Dallas

Some second hand gaming stores have polishing services for a small fee which is at the same place they polish cds they get from people stupid enough to sell their games at a second hand gaming store.

I reinstalled MSTS via scratchy CDs through a lot of patience and drastic measures which I'd probably be laughed at for mentioning here so I won't dare....... Good luck with it anyhow

PS this is the wrong section for such advice and petty celebrations over miniscule post counts Smile

If you manage to get it clean an working, you should get a CD imaging program to make a copy of it before it gets any worse. DaemonTools is a good one to try out, and allows you to play games without having to put the physical CD into the drive.

Otherside, Is it possible to just copy the program files across from your old HDD, and run them directly without installing MSTS itself? You last option would be to get a copy of the 2nd CD from somewhere - downloading one is an area of dubious legality, even if you have the original. Confused
