Does canberra station have biycle locking facilities?
so that train passengers could ride home on canberra's extensive network of cycle paths?

Because busses going past the station finish around 5:30 pm
and taxi's are too expensive to get from kingston to north west canberra

And is there a waiting room, and what time does it roughly close at night
i would assume that it's open late

can anyone help me on this?
cheers in advance

Well Fyshwick isn't to far away from Kingston & buses run more frequent from there so ride the bike to Fyshwick 7 the buses do have racks on the front.

That is true, but these buses usually operate on the Intertown; so I'd recommend you, typ06, to ride to Civic, which is about approx. 10km away, plus, it is a very picturesque ride along the lake foreshore to Civic.

Also, there are bike locking facilities at every Bus Interchange, Civic being one of them, which isn't too far away, so that'd be your best bet.

Completely wrong Rolling Eyes. Last services on a Sunday are 6-6.30pm, but Mon-Sat hours for routes passing the station are:

39 - last service 8pm approx
35ext - last service 11pm
85 - last service 5.30pm

Apart from infrequent route 86 to Woden Interchange every hour or so on weekdays, all buses to Fyshwick go through the railway station Rolling Eyes

The 85 Xpresso from City to Lanyon? That goes down the Parkway, nowhere near the Railway Station. I think you mean the 80.

The station will close after the last departure of the day; there is no need for facilities to be open for an arrival only. While the station is open you may wait in the booking area.
