I don't have Flight Simulator X but I have recently obtained Flight Simulator 2004 and one thing I like about the latter is that it has the basic layout of all of the world's major airports with it being possible to obtained more detailed versions from sites such as flightsim.com
It would be good if something similar could be done with the next Microsoft Train Simulator.
Thanks
Geoffrey

I have just had an interesting experience over on the Trainz forum.
I went to post a reply in the announcement about MSTS 2.
The thread was deleted/removed/whatever as I was replying.
This was a really interesting experience, to be posting in a thread, and have the thread disappear right in front of your eyes.
Hmmm... they must be getting really sensitive over there at Auran. As Bevans said, the MS announcement was possibly a test to see the ripples in the pool for Build/Not Build decision.
Interesting ripples in the pool today.

Anyone read the lastest blog HERE
Part of it says

Boy, all I can say is wow. I've certainly had a lot of fun reading all the forum comments about our recent announcement. Understandably, there's some skepticism, but there's also tons of enthusiasm. It's great to see the support, and I'm confident we can win over those skeptics as we move forward. |

Considering how well (read, badly) FSX runs on my current system (AMD AthlonXP 2600+, 6600GT AGP, 1GB RAM, etc.) ... I'll be upgrading just for MSTS2

FS X is a real smeg on my 3 Year old Athlon 64 3200+, 1.5GB Ram and GeForce FX 5950. I was planning an upgrade to either Dual Core or Quad Core, but it will be dependent if Micro$oft do anything to enable Vista to support Quad Core CPUs when they come out.
