I seem to remember from a few years ago a thread where people gave out challenges.

I remember Maikha posting one about driving 3801 over the mountains with Auto-firemen turned off

Then you might like to consider a similar little exercise - to drive an SAR 500 class on the Overland from Tailem Bend to Adelaide with manual fireman, on the SA Adelaide, Hills and South East. I think that could also be interesting, heh, heh - but it would not be the ultimate challenge.

The SA Adelaide, Hills and South East route is just being finalised for release. The Overland cars and a couple of other pieces of SAR stock not currently available plus a couple of surprises should be available in time for activities in the route.

Well with Archive.org I went further back in time and got the files Very Happy

I have setup a small activity where a banker 500 awaits at Hawkesbury River for your train (500 + Overland).

You start at Newcastle and Head to Sydney.

The banker is the black 500 and your engine is the colourful one with Overland at the front Wink

Not to good with S.A.R stuff Rolling Eyes
