You go to Mossy a bit late NSWRTM123, I was there for about 3 hours.

Saw nothing, turns out everything came right after I got on my train

I live in Mossy, H1.
You'll normally find me on Sunday between 13:40 and 15:30 at the following locations:
1. Moss Vale Railway Station
2. McCourt Rd, which ends right on the southern fork of Moss Vale Junction,
3.Suttor Rd Level Crossing, just past the Up Shunting Limit
4. Goode Park on Hoskins St (backs out the opposite side of the southern fork)
5. The end of Kyong Close.
The above locations (Apart from the station) have a good, unobscured view of some part of Moss Vale Junction.

One time I'll have to show these places to you. May also show you a couple of other good photo spots around Moss Vale.

Wooh! So it did run real early! QRN much be getting their act together! I didn't get to Sefton till around 12.20. What made me think I didn't miss it was that I was there a good hour and a half before it was ment to go throught and I go there before -NY3 and -BM4 came through.

Dam, if only I got there a bit earlier.., or better yet just had another early day south.

Thanks trendyh Smile

Sometimes it relates to paths and other trains around the Sydney metro area too... Once you pass Macarthur, it's rather easy to slot in behind an Endeavour, but often the battle is getting from Sefton Junction to Macarthur without interfering with the sparks.

From what I've heard, it's not as easy as a lot of the trackside foamers seem to make it out to be...

I think he was referring to the 'I want that photo no matter what' type of foamer, who chasses the dam thing from Yennora right to Goulburn (not that's it's a bad thing, actually after last Wednesday, I now want a car... Idea )

Basically the ones who go into the corridor and that sort of stuff. If you were doing the right thing, this would be the person if you were standing behide the yellow line that the idiot foamer went past it and also in your shot. Kids on the other hand just say things cause they don't know anything when they think they know it all.... Razz

Child Razz Anyway...

I still maintain that Sunday, particularly in the afternoon is the best time to check out the main south. A decent amount of Southbound movements (average two!) with some great sunlight. Some notes from today - 13/7.

Yanderra:
1509 - DN (1SM9) G516 QRN Intermodel
1533 - DN (7BM4) NR110/DL43/NR33 PacNat Intermodel
1557 - DN (7BM7) G534/G533/G511 QRN Intermodel

G534/G533/G511 at Yanderra (7BM7)
G534/G533/G511 at Yanderra (7BM7)

Anthony (42209) and I were trackside for most of the arvo (well over an hour though, can't always have it) and we chased SM9 down from Douglas Park. The other two just snuck up on us as we thought the day had ended Razz Oh how I was wrong. More photo can be found at my flickr
