As cool as the PCO looks in it's shiny livery, it's a hunk of sh*t for providing power, I've seen it stuff up many times. Also it does see occasional use. Back in the summer months, it wasn't uncommon to see it on an Albury pass, and I've seen it a fair few times on Bacchus or Seymour runs.

Victoria, well, there hardly any need for it, would you seriously like to see the carriage out and about on regular pass services?
  Stinkyone Chief Train Controller

PCO 2 sees little use because it only has one generator set, and this is underpowered to run over a FSH set, as the H set airconditioners when under full load draw maximum power,

It appears another dud buy by the brains trust of V/Line, it is not through  cabled for HEP ex the train loco either,  and even the PCPs and PH powervans output is greater.

At the time of the WCR collapse V/Line could have chosen to get any number of BS-BRS cars or BZ269/270 and ACZ 255, but with the head in the sand mentality got the junk they now are stuck with.

Club Victoria was repainted from the previous classic carriage livery to the new modern image as the previous managing director used to like to hold "commuter forums' - a taxpayer funded junket, whereby the senior managers would swan around like the directors of BHP in their exclusive carriage, but this fell by the wayside and they now mix with the plebs.

The car is available for hire --- off whom and how is not advertised anywhere on the V/Line website. so it is  just wheeled out for the junket indulging snout in the through  upper echalon on the Warrnambool cup, once a year, although may get more use on Albury trains if the Rutherglen red mob starts up again after being Smegged off account the weekend closures for the past 18 months.

The Club car has also been fitted with POS buffet registers, to allow it to operate as a buffet car if need ever arose I believe.

Perhaps the WWOTBG women could hire it on the last run of the 1833 Shepparton Chardonnay set in late August.

Got a spare $1500 - $2500 floating around... I'm told that's a base figure to charter Victoria!

Not unless we win Tattslotto between now and then.
We're busy trying to work out how to get more Chardonnay on the train as the buffet only ever seems to have about half a dozen of those little bottles.

Any ideas?
  Stinkyone Chief Train Controller

I agree the buffet always runs out of wine, the new & expensive POS system was supposed to monitor sales so this would not occur, but often the staff member spends more time counting the sugar satchels than serving the customers, thats progress, as to who to complain to, there are links on the V/line website, infact they welcome your feedback.
(What action is taken is nil, however, It is welcomed, and good kharma)

I dont think they ran out of Chardy on the Warrnambool race train though,

Also no sighting of FSH 25 as yet, but cant be long.... Maybe next week, 7007 too perhaps.  and a red VN 18 ...

Now lets see if I have this right....

H Sets  & Older Soupcans (Sprinters) will recieve this fancy new fugly "Drab" new livery of 3 tones of grey, but the Long distance N sets will remain in the VLP Royal Heritage Crimson Livery of: Red boody, Blue roof & White window line QuestionEmbarassedRolling Eyes

I do not believe N sets will get the new livery until internal refurbishment and reconfiguration internally occurs if ever?? if so VN12 or 17 will be the first set, so VN18 will be red, and refurninshed in exsisting fabric internally. The Door modification is the only planned alteration to N sets at the moment.

Unfotunately not next week either - 15th August is the latest date mentioned - and wait for the commemorative stamps and complimentary balloons to go with it!!

Sprinter 7007 is also getting the same interior refurbish & new livery - around 31st August is the latest on that one I believe.

VN 18 is due out next week some time - but only with the "N" Cars - the BZN & BTN Car off the set are still a couple of months away. The 3 Cars off VN 12 will go in place of N 18.

Probably because EDI has been busy working on the Comeng "chopper sets", making Hitachi 7M and friends re-enter service, and the G classes for SCT as well.

Hold up with the BZN & BTN is bogie-related as part of the Workshops Overhaul.

Only the 3 Cars off VN 12 will be shopped, the 2 cars off that set will probably match up with N 4 or N 13 to make a temporary 5 Car N Set (Non Power Door) in the interim.
  Stinkyone Chief Train Controller

Must be hard to Match up carriages and work out what is what with this power door modidification.

The Non Power door sets have to be matched up with the BCZs to provide extra seats on busy trains, why none of them have been modified to match is a disaster and very poor planning by those who run the joint.

There wil be only 1 remaining N set without the door mods soon, N13 by what Scottydl has said...  So it will be even harder to add cars to trains.

The bus Industry must love V/Line...

Yeah sorry about that everyone, I had to delay the project so it wouldn't have its grand launch while I'm overseas. Don't worry, I'll be back soon.

Mwa ha ha ha! Even through I'm yet to see what it actually looks like, it still sounds like it will be gross ExclamationPukeSpew

If it were to be a reincarnation of the V/L '85 (or was it '88 Question ) Royality & Vice Regal VLP Grey Body & Roof, White Window Band w/ V/L Green & Orange Pin stripes Scheme, with the Green & Orange Pin stripes changed to VLP Red/Blue & Purple, well perhaps I could come to like that...

Funny... GSR goes for a "New refreshing look" for The Overdue's exterior instead of the old drab Silver & Grey of the '98/'99 Refurb...
CLK goes for a new image livery that's really quite... "Bright" 8)LaughingBounceRock 'N Roll! ...

What's VLP do, goes from it's currently really quite suitable Regal Scheme (Crimson, Heritage Blue & White) & replaces it with, what can only best be described as, a dulled down, drab b*a*s*t*a*r*d of a looking thing for a livery Exclamation ... Rolling EyesWink
