New V/Line livery.....

  vlocity160 V/Gunzel

G'day all,

Sprinter 7007 rostered on test run ex SCS Wednesday departing at 0937, arriving at Geelong at 1050, departing Geelong 1110, arriving back at SCS at 1219. Providing 7007 passes I then assume it will become available for revenue services.

Aslo VSH29 will be transferred to Newport this week. I don't have the times as yet (I think Tuesday or Wedneday).

Thanks. Smile

The new scheme looks incomplete. It needs something adding to it.
"GeoffreyHansen in the PTC Sprinter thread"
Yes, I agree. I think it's partly to do with the yellow at the top. Either make the whole area surrounding the black, white, as it is on the current scheme, or yellow as in the PTC scheme.

Actually, looking at it again perhaps it would be better to bring the yellow down around the black, leaving the white "v" at the bottom of the window line.

I've been having trouble makeing my mind up on the rest of this livery, does anyone have a good side on photo of the Sprinter? I guess I'll just have to get out and see it with my own eyes...

Cheers, although I meant the Sprinter livery, which is the previous photo in the album.

And no, I don't like it at all. They should have stuck with thin stripes rather than the chunky weges.

After awaking at 0530 to get up get changed, eat breakfast etc, to arrive at Sunbury Station by 0600 to see V/Line's newly painted FSH25.

I arrived at Sunbury station at 0605 to see that FSH25 was being shunted into the siding by N474. I tried to obtain a good shot from the station's platform 2 (but due to my parents little/no good camera I couldn't. Have to wait to get my D40X Smile )

During the time from 0605 I photographed other services. Whilst doing so I met the conductor of the 8006 Up Sunbury To Southern Cross,(consisted of P18-VSH26-P11) who was a bit of a Rail Fan himself. We had a chat about what it was like to work for V/Line etc, was a very nice guy!

The moment that I had been waiting for happened at 0715 when FSH25 was shunted out of the siding into Platform 2. Due to the loads of commuters trying to get onboard I couldn't get any interior photos  Crying or Very sad

Here are some photos of FSH25 at Sunbury Station platform 2 on Monday, 17th of September 2007. Apologise for the low quality pics.

I hope that you enjoyed my summary and the photos. Smile

Thanks for posting mate.

I have started a thread in the sightings forum, to keep track of where FSH25 is and what services it has operated. Click Here to view the thread.

It is looking like the newly painted set will be kept at Bacchus Marsh, I've seen them there a few times now late at night

Correct it did. My sources have informed me that the test was a failure for unknown reasons at this stage.

Cool. I did not acutally know the number of the carriage I saw today, so would not have know whether it had been discussed before.

Sprinter 7007 is still at EDI Newport awaiting a test run. It's schedualed test run last Saturday was canned for reasons unknown. EDI have pushed for the Sprinter to be tested all this week but they haven't succeeded yet.

More news on 7007 has come to hand.

7015 will be on test run with 7007. If 7007 fails it will return to Newport for futher repairs but if 7007 passes 7015 will go to Newport for it's refurbishment. So either way 7007 or 7015 will be at Newport tomorrow.

What is wrong with 7007 exactly?
