Right then.

Let us see if we can muster some interest in this thread by rejuvenating the whole quiz !

I want to try this: a Where Is It ? quiz which is structured the same way as the quiz of the same name in the VICTORIA FORUM. It's all simple to understand; first think of a location within SA - it can be either a present or past rail location. Then create three clues.

Initially only one clue - known as the 3 point clue is posted. After a period of time and/or guesses if the correct answer is not given, then the second clue is given. 2 point clue

And, logically, if the answer is still not provided then the question 'host' provides the 1 point clue

Are heads nodding ? As the whole quiz progresses, those still a bit confused should cotton on to how the whole affair works.

OK... starting NOW!

For 3 Points: This location once had a crossing loop

Not Long Gully.

Normally, the protocol is to have a guess, then wait for another to have a turn.

HOWEVER .... in order to try keep the quiz moving swiftly consecutive guesses are now allowed. In other words, if you get the answer wrong you can step up again immediately for another punt.

So, Alco_Haulic, guess away as often as you desire Smile

Jeez, there must be 500 odd sidings in SA. Could you narrow it down?

Albert Park?

Not yet ... read my longer post 6 above. The first clue will be difficult. I'll wait for another incorrect guess before providing the 2 point clue. Thus, the further the quiz goes, the easier the guessing becomes.

Back to your answer ... it is NOT Albert Park.

Guess again.

I thought it might be as it's one of the most mentioned mothballed loops in the state.

Ok, I am a siding in the murray mallee area

Just a thought, maybe this should be split into its own thread, as some of us were still enjoying the Trivia Quiz also.

Wayne

BTW, I am quite happy to have both types of quiz.
