Got your attention now, no...no....its not me creating anything. But maybe I will in the near future...who knows.

Anyway, to my point. Not sure if anyone has seen this...

http://www.microsoft.com/games/trainsimulator/

Looks like microsoft are having another go at making another sim after the cancellation of msts2.

What do you all think? Is there a need for so many...MSTS1, Trainz, KRS, TMTS etc. All these ppl should get together and make one kick a*** sim...now that'd be awesome.

If someones already posted this just ignore me Laughing

Kind Regards
Ben Shields

No it's very old. I thought you were saying there was another Australian loco or railcar released as there hasn't been for a few months

And its disapproval rate seems to be higher than the Belair train line's late running percentage during the mid January heat buckle

I guess the track record (so to speak) has stuck with Kuju on this one. MSTS was released 'unfinished', although the physics used still stand up to TRS2006.

It will be interesting to see how Microsoft's team goes this time.

ahh, ok....now i see. was having a blonde moment Very Happy Though that info did appear to be a bit misleading.

I like the look of it...i mean from the vid on the KRS. I take it the problems coming from the people wanting to profit from it. Hmmm....I have mixed opinions on that. Rolling Eyes
I kinda think that people have payed money for the program and the expense should stop there. God to run this thing I'm gonna need a whole new computer.
Freeware is the way to go, let all enjoy your marvellous work and share in everyone elses marvellous work too. Can't go wrong.

What about a download system that rewards people that contribute to the ts community? Maybe now I'm just being a complete nutter. Oh well, for now back to the increasing pile of uni assignments Crying or Very sad

Admirable sentiment. This is not directed to you personally but it seems some people do more sharing than others.

I wonder if there will be an online part to the simulation. It would be good to be able to run on lines with people running trains in a real time environment.

I also hope the physics are improved, it would be nice to have a train with dynamic brakes that actually works.

lol, i didn't think of that....but god it would be funny. the whole online multiplayer thing would make the game more interesting. to be honest, i find it quite boring after a while. multiplayer with a chat thing would be better....would at least add a social element to the game play.

I was at the VGR today and watching J515 on the turntable made me think of how exciting it would be to have a turntable in msts. Back to the multiplayer thing, it would be awesome to have multiplayer shunting activities. I wonder how far the multiplayer thing could go....maybe like the K Class push/pull thing....now that'd be cool. Cool Enough dreaming for me for today.....

I agree Spirit of Progress, a multiplayer option would be exelent. For Example, having a cross somewhere and you want to know were they are so you just get onto the radio, and ask them were they actually are.
You could actually do alot with a multiplayer option. Seriously MSTS should consider in their new one if they make one!! Laughing
And as for the turn table, that would be SO handy, its not funny, it gets really boring when you cannot turn you loco around Evil or Very Mad

Also, they could also put in the feature of swaping cabs!! Like in a A Class, B or even a G Class, just that alone would be awsome aswell!!

Nothing wrong with running tender first in MSTS....try it in wind and snow on the real thing for an alternative!!!

Would multiplayer trainsim provide opportunities for abusing signalmen for blocking you? Will he report you to control, ending in an argument where rude words are spoken over the signal phone? Twisted Evil
