Hi all

I was told recently that one could attain a program which could save and download YouTube videos to the hard drive, and just view them normally on a Media Player.

Is such a program avaliable? And if so, does anyone know of any good ones?

Thanks!

Cheers

No software.
It converts the video on their server and then it gives you a download link.
It converts in AVI, MOV, MPEG4 and MP3

YouTube hosts copyrighted content. It is illegal to download YouTube videos, and further illegal to reverse engineer or "convert" them. If it was legal to download them, there would be something called a download button near the videos.

Your fault for putting them on the WWW. Everyone who posts content on the WWW should know that at any stage they can be ripped off.

Spot on. There are very few successful copyright prosecutions due to high costs v results.

Does it really matter if people download video's from Youtube....

Some people may just prefer to watch them in full screen or retrieve video's that they have lost due to crashes (like me)

Pity you didn’t feel so strongly about copyright infringement when you were releasing other peoples copyrighted MSTS work last year.
