Yes, I would have to say it is a sore point with me, because of the things that happened around that time with the flame wars and the threats and the copyright issues we saw a down turn in the train simming on these forums as some of the modellers moved to other sites and some even gave it away altogether. There are routes out there that people have made but keep them for themselves as a result of some of the things that happened and it is not all copyright issues. Anyway lets forget it , this forum is not about the past

Alright I give up well thanks to someone that told me Chris is on here
he's spying on us so I am going to give up that should put
a smile on his face what dose everyone think about that?
Hey Chris why don't you just re-upload it to make
people happy it would honestly shut people up and you
won't have to read this subject ever again

I still I want to make you mad Chris
and copy the route for people who hasn't got it
I'm like the only person who feels
sorry for the train simulator fan
at least someone cares

I give up anyway my head feels like it going to explode
and go all over my computer I'm leaving
Crying or Very sad you've made everyone upset Chris and
some of us Evil or Very Mad well you get the picture
Cheers anyway
if there's anything new I will be back I will spy on this forum

As I understand it, Chris is not happy with the accuracy of the CWR he created, and feels it is better to have removed it from circulation than keep it out there and have people say "Gee, that Chris Anderson can't make an accurate route, I used his CWR and it was shytehouse".

Having said that, my personal opinion is any route is better than none, however, it is not my call to make. Or yours. Chris created the route, it is his to do with as he likes.

And that reminds me, Chris, if you need any photo's for reference, feel free to PM me. Have been out and about on the mainline a bit of late and should be able to supply whatever you need. Wink

First (and final) warning. Don't use "gang speak" or "kiddie-speak" on these boards. We try to maintain an acceptable use of the English language here. "Bro" is not appropriate in the context in which it was used.

As for your idea of an MSTS "Courtroom", just what is it you are trying to achieve? If you are suggesting we "convict" Mr Anderson of not publicising his route, you are a bigger fool than you appear for trying to take on what amounts to the entire east-coast DIRN...A sure-fire way to get someone offside is to try to coerce them to do something they do not believe in.

Phil,
You have been a member here for a week and Chris has been a member for years. Chris does not come on here to SPY on others, he comes on here for the same reason that most (not all) of us come on here and that is so that we can teach and learn from each other. If things that happen on here don't suit you then don't blame other people but have a good look at yourself. Chris has not upset anybody so don't blame him.

There was one and only one person who started the great Copyright hysteria of 2007.

Unfortunately far too many people lifted their skirts above their heads and went screaming off into the sunset running from the Copyright boogie-man and have to date made the concept of copyright an art form in the gerne of Hammer Horror Movies.

Quite a few route authors and content builders decided that they wouldn't distribute their routes etc, so it would protect them against wayward litigation.

Now throw into this mix a local financial enterprise that decided that instead of distributing their work free, that they could sell it to the MSTS community for profit.

And let us not forget to mix in the so called "gimme pigs", that is anyone who would dare to ask the availability or progress of any route, loco, wagon etc.

Mix all that together with highly strung authors and less than polite consumers and you get where we are today.

The rules of MSTS forums are thus:

1. Never ask a question.

2. Never ever ask the about the progress of anything, because you will be automatically labelled a "gimme pig"

3. Never criticize anything, be it helpful or not, including dodgy models, crap texturing etc as you will be automatically told that if you cant do it better and present that to everyone, that you don't know anything so therefore should shut up because you don't know what you're talking
about.

4. Never ask a question because all questions have been asked before and search should have been used before posting

5. Never ever ask a question (did I point this out before ?)

6. Always kiss smeg by praising all screen shots regardless if they are crap or not, because if you don't see point 3.

Unfortunate, but true.

Reckon it can be done anyway?

If you used that grey thing in your head and poked around a bit, you'd find out that Chris is in the process of developing a number of other routes, one of which will render Central West obsolete.

Same here. This thread has derailed. It needs to be locked before a flame war breaks out.
