143.000 km from Sydney
21-Apr-1878 Opened as Austermere
1-Oct-1889 Renamed Bong Bong
27-Jan-1913 Closed

This does not complete!

Is Austermere same as Austinmere on Illawarra Line?

Not same as Austimer. Austermere became Bong Bong and since closed. Is located between Burradoo (138.840km) and Berrima Junction (143.250km).

Isn't TE2815 a helpful fellow. Check out his post on the timings of the Tahmoor Coal Rakes. Interesting when a (former)signaller can give you the full gen on what's in front and behind a train you are chasing.

That is to say, Yo Yo the Toy.

Another category might be the sound that birds and animals make.

Generally the two individual words are pronounced the same.

An exception is Goonoo Goonoo which is pronouced IIRC something like GooNoo G'Noo.

Monarchs sometimes described themselves as "King of Kings".

Particularly notable people in a field might be called say a "General's General".

Less notable might be people called say Peter Peterson.

I like the names that are nearly doubles:
Wee Waa
Baan Baa
Suggan Buggan

Other doubles I didn't see mentioned include:
Gumly Gumly (near Wagga Wagga)
Greg Greg (somewhere)
Walla Walla (sth NSW)

And for silliness
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Nerrin Nerrin, Pura Pura, and Vite Vite (in Victoria) have been mentioned ... but note that those three locations lie in sequence on the rail map as well Smile
