One would think when there is enough loading, currently there doesn't appear to be enough to make one train economical

Probably Q's. Even RL's as I do believe they have inline fueling.

You might remember sometime around 2001 2 Q Classes were used on Adelaide to Perth freighters between Kewdale and Adelaide. Q308 and Q317 were used on these trains with 2204.

I need a trip to Adelaide soon ro see the Freightlink FQ's before its too late Sad

Nothing beats the sound of Freightlink FQ's and Australian Railroad Group Q's

Please PM me when Q4008 is around Forrestfield and S3309 round Kwinana URGENTLEY AS I NEED THEM 2 COMPLETE COLLECTION AND WHEN S CLASS DOES THE QUARTZ

AM6 ex Port Adelaide is Sunday to Friday @1710hrs although Sunday is usually a little earlier.

MA6 ex Swanson Dock is Monday to Saturday @1830hrs.

Selective internet history....

2204 was not a regular on these services.

It made a westbound journey to Perth on an AP4 services for trials in Perth with AWR and may have possibly been returned on a PA4 service.

2204 only emerged from Dry Creek in mid-April 2001 and the use of Qs on the Toll train only had a couple of months to run by then.
