G'day,

I've always had an interest in this line, having travelled to Cooma many times in my life. There is a deal of information available about this line prior to the mid 1980's but little thereafter, except for my memory of old Railway Digest reports. So, I thought I'd post a few queries and see if anyone can set me straight.

Was 4495 the last mainline loco to visit Cooma, on an ARHS special?

Was 48100 the last loco to visit Bredbo, also on a charter?

Did 42107 visit Cooma on the goods during the time it was out of mothballs in 1989?

Did a 49 class once venture to Michelago on an ARHS special?

And finally - to the best of my knowledge, the following diesel units ventured to Cooma at one stage or another - 421, 422, 44, 442, 45 and 48 class. Did any other class of loco ever venture to Cooma, such as the hired 830 class diesels?

Hoping this post may be of interest to someone on the ACT forum...

Cheers,

WK

Was usually Goulburn based 48 class whenever I went down there - a couple from my collection on 1/10/76:

Hope someone can fill in the blanks from later on!

Cheers Roy

Thank you very much MBAX/Roy. I once saw a steam hauled train at Jincumbilly about 25 years ago and apart from that, never saw anything south of Cooma while the line was still in use. Great pics.

Cheers
