Unless you've got hundreds of spam emails already, you may wish to break up that email link

Not sure that is allowed. That may be classed as redistribution. Contact Auran or ask for help on the Trainz forums. I know of others who have had the same problem and have resolved it that way.

Emailing TRS2004 and TRS 2006 content is specifically not allowed. One has to have a registered copy of Trainz (any version) to access the download station. Thereupon, any content may be downloaded for free.

What Squeekazoid is doing is asking Railpage Australia™ to particiapte in piracy of Railway Simulatorsim software; that is to say, he is asking members here to distribute content outside the terms of agreement.

This is a serious issue and I am not sure that Railpage Australia™ would want to be party to this.

Perhaps you may feel that I am off target and being too strict. Before this thread proceeds any further, I suggest contacting Railpage Australia™ management to ascertain their views on this.

Check your IE settings...

Go to: Tools - Internet options - Advanced

Then scroll down to the very bottom of the "Browsing" category and un-tick the option with "Use Passive FTP" or similar sentence.

That might help???

Squeek's,

I have had numerous problems with the DLS/CMP not talking to each other. Wasted a whole FCT it did. Evil or Very Mad

So, what you need to do is this:

Arrow Go to the DLS and find the objects you want, then click on their "Download Page".
Arrow This will open a new window, about half way down it will contain details for FTP settings.
Arrow Go to the Command Prompt and type "FTP" and it will then say ftp> instead of C:>
Arrow type "open" and you will get "To" replacing the ftp>.
Arrow type "files.auran.com" or whatever it says on the download page
Arrow If it doesn't prompt you for your username, type "user" and fill in your login and password. Be aware the password is case sensitive and is the one supplied on the download page, not your Auran password.

Once you've done that and successfully logged in, you can follow the directory to get the CDP files you need. To navigate around the file structure use the following:

CWD to change the directory
GET to get the specific CDP file
LOCAL to specify the local directory on your computer where it will put the files you download

Be aware that this will only download one CDP file at a time and if you dowload a route or something with a whole lot of dependencies you will need to repeat this for each item. Clunky, slow and annoying but it works. If you have a BB connection it won't take long to download the items individually, the longest part is navigating the file structure.

If you get stuck, post here and I'll see if I can post some screenshots.

Regarding the FCT contact Auran.

Alan Yeomans should be happy to re-issue the FCT if you didn't get to use it.
