An X class (?) has run this mornings Warrnambool (bound) freight though Geelong about 2:30am.

Anyone know which one it was or what was on the train?

Is this a rare combination on the Warrnambool line past the cement works at Waurn Ponds?

Ok Thursday is suppose to be Pacific Nationals last day on the Warrnambool line. From then we will be getting S-T combinations with ElZorro. From what i here running to a slightly different timetable to what they are now. and five days a week.

Is this statement correct in terms of EL Zorro running S/T combos? The reason for this is that El Zorro only have one S and i think a couple of T's so they will have to hire some locos from elsewhere. It doesn't sound right if they only have enough to make one combination for one train from Melbourne without hiring more locos.

thats correct El Zorro only owns 1 S class loco on BG which is ex VLP and WCR S302 rumours if its true that El Zorro owns SSR liveried T376. most likely El Zorro will hire CFCLA locos like S302 ex WCR class mate S311 , also a few T's from CFCLA T's T369 or T377 plus a few hertiage locos from 707ops, SRV or SRHC as motive power.

SCT G's and EL60 best combo on freights!!

The chart that I have for Ballan shows the same tonnage for A and X?

Must be an old chart showing loads prior to the A class being fitted with Q-tron as the A's out pull the X class on all corridors now.

Tonights train back to mel will be A79 T402 and X41. The X and T were suppose to come down yesterday. but only made it as far as Geelong. The A was todays rostered loco with both trains combined at Geelong last night or the early hours of today. Has a healthy load so will make for great sounds

With the trail of unfortunate events that unfolded on the W'bool Line on Mon. 24 March involving the 1300 Dwn W'bool Pass being hit by a 4WD crashing into the side of the train: Level Crossing Crash near Geelong Kills 2 People: 24th Mar 2008

With Roadcoaches replacing 17:05 Up W’bool Pass & 18:40 Dwn W’bool Pass, as train to G’long, then Roadcoaches to W’bool, The carset (at a guess a VN Set) & N Class Loco, that most likely formed the 1840 Dwn W'bool to G'long, where it was replaced w/ Roadcoaches to W'bool Mon. nite, arrived in W'bool 0100 Tues. morning, to be in position to form the First Up Pass Tues. morning out of W'bool @ 0545hrs.
