Here's some more shots from the day:

7319:

1210:

3016:

Just a quick question, why do 7315 and 7319 have blue sandboxes? Also who owns the two 73s and the ex-BHP diesel near 3112?

I have no idea how the blue sandboxes came about. Maybe the members painting the engines decided they thought it looked good?

7315s livery was applied entirely by a long time ARHS ACT member named John K Gill (Hence the plates on the side of the cab) who has since passed on. One can only really guess how he came up with it although it seems like he wanted it to match the colours on the carriages, hence the Russet band. Maybe the blue sandboxes on it were to match 7319?

7320, 7324 and D7 and a few other items of rolling stock are owned by the bloke who occupies the Brambles siding and facilities (He runs a plumbing business out of it).

The engine as you know was transferred to Canberra, as
Boyd had ticked off all and sundry in the Heritage
movement.

The engine languishes exposed to the
elements and has been subject to graffiti. Equipment
and gauges have been stolen from the cab.

Is this TRUE, does anyone have photos of this?

3112 parked in the open - Yes

Subject to graffiti/equipment and gauges stolen - Rubbish

There a couple of friendly Alsatians present in the yard its stored in. They generally take care of any visitors.....

Photos....It doesn't look any different to what it does in MrNathans photo on the last page.

Indeed Duffy, I'm aware of someone who inspected it recently and said all was ok. Whitton I received the same email, not true fortunately.

Thank Goodness, then it is more likely we will all see the lovely engine back out on the mainline. So hard to keep track of now it presides in the ACT.
3112 has Always been favourite of mine.

Its not hard to keep track of it. Most of the time youll find it at the brambles siding.

Its only steamed once since its taken up residence in the act.
