Fantastic shots of the Endeavour transfer there LowndesJ515, well done . I took a shot of TE2801 two weeks ago at Metford, NSW running empty to Telarah, I wasn't expecting to see any shots of it from Victoria any time soon |
Cheers for that, it was at very short notice. I went out to get the transfer last tuesday, but due to late running i wasted 2 1/2 hours of my time at Dandenong! It was good to finally get a transfer there on friday.

On Tuesday morning I caught a Ghan liveried NR74 + AN3 inbound at Newport - it was worth having to stay back late at work!
A pair of A classes went though a bit before it as well:
A62 on a up Geelong pass:
A85 on an up Waurn Ponds - Lyndhurst cement:

Nice score there, wongm, especially the double Ghan lashup! Sometimes, it really is worth staying back at work...

Its interesting to not an A on the Up Waurn Ponds, though I'm not sure if it is a rare thing?

It is common for the Lyndhurst cement to use the big power off the earlier log train arrival from Bairnsdale. The log train seemed to be A class dominated for the last few years, but it has been X's on it a lot lately.

I guess the footbridge at Roxbrough Park makes a good photo spot.
The train might have been Genesee and Wyoming going by the locos and hoppers.

Hmmm, might be a grunzel spotter! |
Yeah could be, its just that I have got a picture of BA6 through Horsham with a guy doing the same thing to me. Must be making a collection of line side snappers!

Hi guys,
I notice in the photo that CLF5 was actually leading the train. Since GWA have been running through Vic with their trains I don't think that CLF5 has ever been a leading unit-It has usually been a middle unit. Has it been upgraded to a lead loco? Also another surprise is CLF6- where has that unit been hiding?

Lol some driver on the swan hilly did that to me once when i was taking a pic of the train. I nearly dropped my camera when I saw it
Some sightings from today:
N474 and FN14 on the morning Swan Hill at Gisbourne
N464 with BZN 252 as part of FN5 at Sunbury on the afternoon empty cars
P15 with another P on the push pull's at Sunbury.

It's a camera phone in his hands.
On the SRHC tour to Warrnambool last year I got a photo from an overpass, and a particular member from here happened to be driving the train, and posted a photo of me taking a photo of him from the overpass.
