G527 (PN) + A81 (FA) on 9140 (Merbein - Melb) thro Donald 2230 hrs tonight.

Last night before work I was having a squiz at the work on the goods line at North Shore, and saw C501 leading SCT liveried G532 on an EL Zorro grain train go flying though headed west.

The train has to slow right down at the curve at North Geelong, so I caught up to it by Moorabool at 5:30pm:

I chased it to Gheringhap, but the sun had ducked behind the clouds by then.

Some sightings from Saturday on the North East:
7019? at Tallarook on the UP
The El Zorro Grain with unknown locos sitting in Longwood? loop, possible awaiting an overtake by what I think was G516 (QRN), CLF1 (ARG) and CLP13 (QRN) which was 10 minutes up the track
An unknown track machine set heading towards Melbourne near Glenrowan.

No photos, but plenty of sightings today:

2x2 car sets V/Los - 1113 I think I saw, Sydenham, around 8:50am.

A62?-PH van-H set - Melton, approx 5:40pm

2x2 car V/Los - unknown numbers - running through A62 and train in platform 2, Melton station, approx 5:45pm

N???-N set (the grey set) - Melton again, around 6pm I think it was. Would've chased it had I'd realised earlier it was an N set! Rolling Eyes

Kalari cancelled the mineral sand train today. G532 has gone to Stawell for level crossing testing over the weekend. Managed to have a few minutes chatting to one of the drivers at Portland today.
