Hi folks!
Welcome to the new Sydney Suburban Forum! This forum has been created after various requests to have one place hosting all discussions relating to Cityrail and NSW Suburban train operations, rather than a confusing split between the NSW Forum and The Intercity Platform Forum.
Basically, this forum is here to host all discussions relating, but not limiting to the following:
*All of Cityrail's Suburban and Intercity Trains (I.e. S/R/L/K/C/T-Sets, Millennium Trains and OSCARs)
*Any activity concerning suburban trains within the Cityrail Limit (Bounded by Lithgow, Goulburn, Scone/Dungog, and Nowra)
Basically, anything to do with sparks under wires!
Please use discretion if you are uncertain which forum your topic lies in, but otherwise, feel free to PM any of the Railpage Australia™ moderators for their advice.
Rules
This forum follows all the general Railpage Australia™ rules and regulations as stated in the Terms of Use. In a nutshell...
1) Personal Attacks won't be tolerated, and really, is bad form.
2) If you're being attacked, or something/one is really irritating the smeg out of you, DON'T BITE BACK!.
Email/PM an online Moderator and they'll sort it out for you.
3) Please refrain from posting any information that may be deemed as innuendo, or blatently false.
Apart from that, enjoy!
Cheers

That's a bit confusing as you say its for discussions in those areas, then say its for discussions about sparks, and there is definitely no suburbans or electric trains to Goulburn, Dungog or Bomaderry

I also said....

I'm sure MGH™ won't have an issue either. It's up to the poster whether their thread about Endeavours at Bomaderry or Dungog get posted here or the NSW Forum, as I don't have a problem where that ends up. Same if you wanted to talk about RIC 48 Classes on works trains at Bankstown.
But since it's a Cityrail train, I'd post it here.... par example

About time we have sydney suburban forum,
seperated from the NSW. Does this forums also
include Newcastle, Central Coast, Wollongong, Blue Mountains
go in this forum as well or does that news go
in the NSW forums,
Will we also have one for Brisbane ,Adelaide and Perth
all you could have a electric traction forum as well.

*sigh*
No Adelaide/Perth/Darwin/Tasmania/Canberra/etc Suburban forums.
As the forum title says, it's the Sydney Suburban forum. Last time I checked, Newcastle, Wollongong, etc aren't part of Sydney

Wot?
Another bogies category?
Hm.
Hmm, "Best Contribution to Sydney Suburban" does have a nice sound to it.
Hmm. Well, at least the Oscars will now have their own home.
I really think this is needed, and a very sensible solution. It works really well in Vic, with topics quickly falling into the right place. It will work well, here, also.
So this should be welcome to the singing catenary?

With the current plan to have Brisbane's suburban trains run by a seperate authority (to QR) there may in future be merit in having a Brisbane Suburban forum.

Not for quite a while, I would think. As at 14/12, there's about 6500 posts in each of the NSW/SydSub and Vic/MelbSub sets of forums, with only about 2200 in the Qld forum.

So now you're saying that the 'Sydney Suburban' Forum does not encompass all of CityRail's Suburban and InterCity Trains?
What Maikha has outlined in the original post seems quite logical to me.
