It is all from the same thing. Alot of backend signalling equipment was destroyed by the fire so until the new replacement equipment is installed, signals and points between Bexley North and Narwee are out of use.

Is that the reason a lot of the airport line trains from Campbelltown are now running via the express tracks from Revesby to Wolli Creek rather than going on the locals? Lots of trains seem to be skipping the Padstow/Riverwood stops on the mornings that I have noticed that used to prior to this week.

Hi,

Express train services are not stopping at Padstow and Riverwood. It was said due to damaged signal equipment at Kingsgrove. Will these services be resumed soon or this is a permanent timetable change?
It became so inconvenient to get to work now. Hope the express services will stop at Padstow

The normal timetable will resume for T2 Airport Line once backend systems are restored. Could be at least another week.
Within this, express services will continue to operate via the outer tracks to minimise delays thus skipping Padstow and Riverwood. Mid-day Kingsgrove terminators have also been diverted in the interim.
