MOD EDIT: Added the rules here where everyone can find them. - KRviator
| Rules of the Forum | | These are official rules. Failure to comply will result in strong warning level increases. You have been warned! |
72hrs is the maximum amount of time one has to confirm the correct location of the photograph. I'm sure you all have lives away from the computer rather than sitting at one eagerly awaiting the answer.
48hrs is the maximum amount of time the winner has to post up a new photograph, or declare open floor or else it will be declared Open Floor.
REGARDLESS... no one declares open floor except the winner of the previous photo, or a Moderator in exceptional circumstances.
REGARDLESS... no one guessing a location of a photo self-determines they have won it, even if the photo is obvious, and declares open floor or posts a new photo. This is extremely poor form, and has been done multiple times, and re-offenders will be warned. - Railpage Australia™ |
Well some said yes, some said no, I figured I'd start er' up and let her go.
If you don't like it ignore it, if you do come and join in
The Rules are as usual with the boundaries being the Cityrail Network, if the station name is on the Cityrail Network Map as at www.cityrail.info then its alright.
An easy one to start off play.
Where is it
Tom

Doh! I was going to suggest that.
It's the Sprint Platform.

The photo is taken on the footbridge at Lidcombe (near the ticket barriers), looking West. On the LHS, we have the new turnback being constructed and the junction for two tracks curving towards Berala. The big green ugly thing is on the down main heading towards Auburn.

Bwana has it with Lidcombe, as does Neety, I'll leave it to you two to decide.

Its not the Sprint platform
The Sprint Platform is behind me, this shot was of 3801+3830 heading to the ZZR. It was taken from tinted glass which is why it is a tad dark.

It's platforms 1 and 2 (up and down Main) at Lidcombe, with the tracks from platforms 3 and 4 (up and down Suburban) on the left. In the distance can be seen the two tracks that turn out to Bankstown/South via Regents Park.

OK in the spirit of this new forum, I was gong to have an OSCar or Lemon so everyone could go "Oooooooohhhhhhhh, woooooooooow, the three billionth OSCar to be shown on RP, and who'd have ever thought, it looks exactly like the other 2,999,999,999".
I am, however, a lazy bastard - apart from not needing to have any identifying markers removed, this one will also do as my contribution to the weather pics thread:
