Hi guy's,

This is just a fresh new thread about my route
but before I can get started I would like to say
to everyone that I am sorry for bringing up
old stuff about copyright and I wanted to let
you all know that I have removed all
files except for that files I already had
and that came installed within the game
I hope you guy's can forgive me anyways Smile

Phil, you would be better off leaving the current one locked, and unlocked when you have some genuine progress to put up.

So far you have brought out the pessimists, with not much to contradict them

Phil.

I can tell you that even though I am pissed off at some people (Not you, of course) for their attitude in the other thread, I have something to say.

Some of the MSTS routes were modelled on what they looked like in the past. These include Coals to Newcastle and Northern Illawara, so there is no need for using their stuff. You already have permission for Gavin Mclaughlan to use files from his Coal Road line as well as Mike Simpson's permission to use files from his Blue Mountains line.

I still think that is not enough. You're going to need the Sydney Harbour Bridge, a modern version of Central station as well as Southern Cross Railway staition. Not to mention other locations that are along the line in the present era.

Now. That isn't an easy task, while I know that someone has modelled a Sydney Harbour bridge as well as a modern version of Central, I haven't seen a modelled Southern Cross Railway station.

I'd suggest a think about what special places are along the line and to find out if they have been modelled or not. Most of them might not be.

Cheers.

Buddy.

Daniel Hall.
MSTS STA Driver,

I can guarantee 99% of the buildings you will need to form a detailed route in these areas will NOT be previously modeled and it will up to you or any 3d artists you recruit to ensure meet the requirements.

I built 25 buildings for just one town a month or two ago, and even that takes patience. You'll need thousands of them for a route of this size unless you want a half detailed route

Thanks guy's

I honestly thank you for your support I do know who has the
Sydney Harbour Bridge but as for the rest of the
objects I would't have a clue

Like you guy's said I need to ask around the first person
I have asked is Chris Jennings and maybe he
can help me out

At the moment I am still working on the marker files
I have at least 10% or 25% of them done and
to be honest with everyone has told me it's going
to take time to do but I won't give up but anyway
I am still looking at late next year or 2009 for release
wish me luck Very Happy

How many mkr files are you doing? You only need one!

What are you actually including in your mkr files?

Don't speculate on release dates until final beta testing is done. It will drive you into the ground. My idea simply is when it's done, it's done.

Exactly why I, and many others enjoy these routes.

Show us something better. Show us how to do it properly if those routes are such junk. I suppose you think the Adelaide suburban route is 'junk' as well, as it is set in the past.

Indeed he will, a couple of thousand at least. Every major station and any significant buildings (shops at Wallenbbeen, Glenreagh, Narrabri......). The absence of any of these will be noted and commented on. Not to mention bridges, roads etc.

I don't think anybody is being pessimistic, merely warning somebody who's biting of more than he can chew. There are a few routes around (Indian and Chinese I think) of the length you are contemplating. Download them and have a look at the quality, or lack of, to get an idea of whta you're getting in to. You'll see they look far less than 'haf finished'.

That sounds abit better "When it's done it's done"

There are so many marker files that have to be done
I am following the track with google maps
and using google earth for stations, tunnels, etc.
for these type of marker files

If most of you wanted to know where I am starting from
in route editor I am starting from Newcastle
as it is mostly the half way mark on the railmaps
but as for the marker files I have started
from Northgate, Brisbane QLD

What exactly are defining with your mkr files? Just track or other things as well?

Seriously, you haven't been banned yet? How much of this work will actually be yours and how much will you be stealing from others? Even if you say that you'll be doing all the work yourself, how can we believe you.

You've already proved that you can't be trusted...

Mr. Anderson... surprised to see me?
