Today, it would seem the old, and outdated, useless post was closed down, without notice or reason.
Yes, like the great railway slaughters of the seventies and eighties, where many erstwhile survivors bit the dust, so has this long running, and rather infamous post, followed in their proud history.
So, like a bus stop shelter emerging forth, from the ruins of a once great station, or a freeway replacing a double track mainline, here is new, and improved useless post.
One would have to raise the point, that perhaps a vast majority of the gunzel hobby is useless anyway, I mean the great days of the railways have long gone, and now there is a inordinate amount of time spent photographing and recording blocks on wheels, some with pretty colours, going through either ugly modernized stations, or bare patches of ground whence they stood.
And it would appear far more people spend time on the internet discussing such useless things, as compared to photographing said coloured boxes anyway!
Ah yes!
And not to mention police state type OH and S policies, means that you cant even get within a cats flatuation of said mobile cubes, not to mention getting a ride on them!
So let us have our useless post, so we can dribble useless things, otherwise we die a miserable and painful death, in unutterable loneliness, surrounded by mouldering boxes of pictures, and slides, of what once was.
A website was created for this useless hobby, so let us have our useless post.
So, uselessness away!
