Is anyone aware of whether any 3800s are due into Brisbane in the next week or so? I am heading to Brisbane on Thursday for a week and would love to catch a glimpse of them.

3805 and 3806 were loaded onto a ship in Germany a couple weeks ago. Most likely won't be here for a couple more weeks yet.

So far, 3801-3804 are up in Central QLD.

Thanks, Pete.

Yeah but atleast our 3801 runs on steam, your's runs on diesel.

They are ELECTRIC loco's. Try reading the full thread.
So technically, they both run on steam. Wink The Dildo Boxes are just more efficient than the contents. Laughing

If all goes according to plan, this Locomotive will head north on #Y243 tomorrow.

QR 3717 is now in revenue service.

QR 3809/3810 should not be too far away from our shores, if they are not here already ... I have not checked.

Saw 3810 at Brisbane port this afternoon, anyone have any ideas when she might be moved from there? Do they stay at the port long or do they move them to Acacia pretty quickly?

If I had to bet on the TAB, I would say #YU39 on Saturday (today) or #Y243 on Tuesday.

Within the last few weeks, the 3800 Class have been banned from leading a train due to excessive noise.

3719 is finished at UGR Broadmeadow and should head north on tuesday morning.
3720 was static testing in undercoat in the yard yesterday.
Another sandblasted 3200 arrived on Friday anyone know its previous number?
