Understand that it was fitted with extra noise insulation to try to get it accredited to run in NSW under EPA regulations. This may have caused it to overheat.

Did the fire start from the engines or was it done by arsonists deliberately. Question

Have you heard or read about any special movements of the remains, or has the site been booked out for repairs - removal of the alluded to deceased locomotive ?, have any of the real enthusiast
sites been excited about the " crispy crittered " remains of RL 203 ?

There was a brief article in the Blayney Chronicle:

http://blayney.yourguide.com.au/news/local/general/quick-action-averts-train-fire-at-blayney/1169470.html

Wonders how a back-fire can be bad enough to crispy an engine??
