GWA do the inspection train in WA but they did'nt (Thankgod). Heres the reason below.
2214 Was suppost to do this but ran out of fuel and DC2206 took it and the cars to Kalgoorlie. 2214 was detached and DC2206 continued on with the cars with a flat battery on arrival at Merredin. as pm1225 stated, DC2206 and the cars were put on a salt train and taken to Forrestfield. Q4015 which worked 426 this morning was the only ARG SG loco free to lead. Its the first time i have seen the cars and happy to see it for first time with a favourite loco of mine upfront. This must be the first time a Q Class has done this train in WA

Q4004 before you post information get it right this is what really happened.

GWA crew the train most of the areas around Australia and they crewed it today with Q4015 and as NR29 will tell you they were very happy to be driving the Q and not a 22! Laughing

2214 has had other problems aswell as running out of fuel ( so it was left kalgoorlie )

DC2206 got flat batteries upon departure at West Merredin. And was put on 5474 Salt Train with L3108/DC2206(D/A).

Q4015 was put on the train because of the fact the other working DC went on 053/058.

Cheers , Not to sure whats taking it out of here yet Smile

I Spoke to the Guys that works on the AK cars on Friday, There would prefer CLP/ or Any non 22/DC Class any day. The AK cars Boy are sick of 22/DC. Q class is more Reliable then DC/22 locomotive.

Just after I finally got the server to post it an amendment appeared:
SK81 on Mon 04/08/2008 will run as tabled by RailCorp to pass Macarthur 1026, arrive Picton 1046, g, depart 1051, arrive Buxton 1112, run around, depart 1152, pass arrive Picton 1207, g, wlc, depart 1240, pass Tahmoor Colliery Jct 1250, Mittagong Junction 1318, Bowral 1323, Burradoo 1326, Moss Vale Junction 1332, Moss Vale 1335, Medway Junction 1407, Goulburn 1428, Harden 1645, Demondrille 1651, Wallendbeen 1705, arrive Cootamundra 1723, stable.

Someone must have spotted that you can't run round at Balmoral (let alone get there yet) and can't do a run round at Picton in 5 minutes Razz , even 5 minutes shunt Down to Up to Branch at Picton is tight.
