Just read that there will not be a Railex this year.

Looking forward to it too Sad
But anyway, does anybody have any ideas as why? And if there will be something to substitute it?

Regards, Brodie

Well, that sure sucks. I always look forward to it. Railex and Steamfest are two highlights of my year, lets hope Steamfest isn't canceled as well.

My mate runs the club, and i know from the past years it gets harder to organise as they have very few active members. So imagine this year they decided to give it a miss. Takes alot of work to prepare for it, and working a full time job as well makes time hard to come by.

For some reason i can't see this happening. Although on the same weekend, there is a historic machinery day at Sassafras which will hurt some people at Steamfest.

This has been the case the last 2 or 3 years I believe.

Just spoke to David Cooke, and it looks like the new expo replacing Railex will be on the 14th and 15th on June.
