How is you hearing them riding around in the bush land mean that they think they are cool? Trail Biking is great fun, and a majority of riders do the right thing. Rules, laws and stuff is making it much harder for riders to find areas to ride etc. so i apologise for them making noise that makes them think like they are cool....

Where did 907 and 909 go to.... was supposed to be at Tailem Bend..but I have been for a drive and could not find them ??? any one know for sure ..

907 and 909 are at the old roundhouse area of Tailem Bend. Please remember that the area is Private Property and you could be fined. The Rail safety Act as of Monday the 29/9/2008 allows for large fines to apply to people trespassing on any railway land, this also includes vehicles of any kind. The fines as I believe are in the order of thousands of dollars. So please be aware.

There hiding around the back  Have seen a photo of both of them there only taken recently |
well I was in the rail yards at the crew change over area... where from there.... any Idea ?  further east is the station ?? |
Here's one taken recently of 907. Right behind the roundhouse. Didn't see 909.

From what was last said about them eons back, is that one was supposed to be made roadworthy and got to work. It would have to be on standard gauge though and what it would be used on is most likely the old Murraylander train, but we don't know how much of the original fabric of the locomotive would remain. The other one would be used for parts to keep the other one going!
On the mainline they would be a bit of a liability being English Electric and not being able to MU with anything else and also because they are single ended and would be a single unit.
No time was actually given to, if and when it might be done, so you will just have to wait and see!

Somehow I don't think we will ever see those 900s running again, or the Murraylander.
Who would spend big dollars getting a 900 going? It is a loco that has an extremely limited supply of spare parts, so much so that AN began scrapping them to get parts. It cannot MU, and there is only one 900 (909) that would be running. It would be a much better idea to hire a loco from GWA or CFCLA.
And regarding the Murraylander, who want to go to Murray Bridge or Tailem Bend?
The first trip will be full of gunzels but after that it will just die off as the train doesn't go anywhere that the general tourist would want to go. This has been proved plenty of times (Limestone coast, bluebirds to Murray Bridge, Steamtown to Eurelia etc).
