I just thought that if the Indian Pacific has one, why not give The Overland one. I'll start. This happened on 31 August, 2007, but I saw NR22 with the Overland standing at Spencer Street

Ok, from yesterday.

Overdue sighted at North Shore platform 3 yesterday heading in, at 17:55, with an EL-RL combo waiting in Manor Loop and G-G (PN not SCT) waiting in Laverton Loop for it to go through. NR45 (still looking fairly clean) on the noisy end and about 6 cars (2 premium, 3 standard, 1 power van) behind it.

NR26, there is already a thread for the sightings of NR class locomotives:
http://www.railpage.com.au/f-t11319862.htm

Why is the Overland so special that NRs on it need a special thread? It's not like NRs are exactly rare, only about 120 of them.

Sorry if it sounds a bit blunt but I think 42101 was telling the truth.

As for the photo - the image quality and noise is appalling.
