A mate in SA said 2200's and L's could be heading that way. They cant get GWA CLP's and ALF's from freightlink as they are used on the DA and AD freightiers with FQ classes plus freightlink would be no more

Dead right crisfitz
ARG barley have any locos in WA

We only have 51 SG locos in WA?
Qx19
Lx15 (i think)
DCx4
422x2
ALZx1
527 shunter

That makes 41 loco's excluding 527 - or has math changed since I went to school Confused

If you add up how many services are running at the same time, you'll see that ARG would have few spares, if any at all.

I reakon it would be around 30 - 35 max at any one time.

Doesn't leave many spares.

How about the order for the new V Class though. Would this change some things?

Not from NSW they wont! 12 locos - 5 x 22's, 6 x 31's and L265 barely cover the Manildra workings.

For lease - depot, slightly used but recently renovated...

When most of the new locomotives have arrived in the west by Spring 2009. You may be lucky MBAX and the three L class that haven't been overhauled L3113, L3116 and L3118 could be dumped on you in NSW. 852 was a heap of junk no one in WA wanted and guess what you were sent it.

I doubt any locos would be going from ARG to GWA, the other way (on hire) may be true. Maybe some SCT G classes aswell.

Experience, something you gain just after you needed it.

Maybe they'll give them GM30 back! Laughing

Mate, if that loco pulls as hard as you do, it'd move anything.
I'd still rather have an ALCo.
