Hi all.

Just wanted to point out that I don't think daylight savings has been accounted for yet. On my profile it still says SA is under CDST (+10.5), where it should be CST (+9.5) now. Not sure if this is the case with the other states or not.

Cheers.

I was wondering how long it'd take for the first "Daylight Savings is broked!" thread to pop up Razz

Unless you've got the State/Territory field in use in your profile, the server won't change your profiles timezone automatically.

If you type in "Queensland", it automatically sets the time to 1985. Cool

What daylight are we saving anyway? There is still the same amount of time between sunrise and log off - I mean sunset. Wink

OK, now I **do** have a problem.

First, when I tried to enter NSW in, it kept springing back to "no selection" (ie. the drop down menu stopped, well, dropping down). Then I manually changed the time zone, and tried the state thing again, and this time it stuck.

But the time hasn't changed.

I'm willing to accept it could be a Firefox issue, as I've noticed similar before. Let me try Maxthon or IE, and I'll get back to you.

OK, I've got the time right, but it's pretty dodgy. Here's what happened.

Originally tried under Firefox. By setting the state selection menu to NSW, the manual menu became greyed out and unusable, stuck on GMT +11. With the state selection menu unset, I was able to use the manual drop-down GMT-based time setting to select GMT +10. I then had the first field set as New South Wales, and the second as GMT 10. However, if I chose SUBMIT, then on my next visit to the profile page, there it was back on GMT +11.

I have had issues with drop down menus before on Firefox, so I logged out, then fired up Maxthon and logged back in. The results were exactly the same as they were for Firefox.

Then I tried IE. At this point, I thought I'd give up on the automated part and just leave the state blank and set the time manually. IE promptly crashed! Hey, it's IE. Say no more.

I then returned to Maxthon, and left the state blank and selected the time manually. I then logged out and closed Maxthon.

I fired up firefox, logged in, and for the first time, the time was correct. As far as I know, I'm still unable to make use of the automated bizzo, but as it only happens twice a year, i'm happy to do it manually - this is more for your info.

Vista rocks!

It's not a Firefox issue, it's a server issue, and it should be fixed now. Anyone confirm/deny?
