Hello everyone, I just wanted to ask if anyone knows when CTN V.7 and Main Illawarra V3.0 routes will be released? It seems to me that they are forgotten about especially Brian's new route "Main Illawarra V3.0".

Phil,
Do not ever ask when something will be released let alone ask about it's progress !

You will be automatically branded a "Gimme Pig" and will be flamed within an inch of your life.

The Gods of routes and content will release their wares when they are good and ready, not one minute before.

It is always best to ignore all upcoming content aggressively, and when it finally arrives be prepared to kiss Contents Gods collective backsides big time.

Well said Zodiac
We don't want the same thing that happened in 2006 to happen again.

Phil, you should have a read of the stickys at the top of this forum first Smile. It specifically mentions not to ask about it! Cool

As for 2006, I cannot see any similarities to that.

Phil,
Your curiosity and interest in upcoming content is only natural, but what you have to understand is that it's like having 4 kids in the car asking "are we there yet ?" every 3 minutes.

The Content Gods get a little highly strung and very sensitive to questions because of it.

So sit back, take it easy and prepare some glib kudos and praise ready for posting.

Remember you must praise beyond idol worship in every case regardless if the content is crap or not, the Content Gods are EXTREMELY sensitive to any criticism be it real or perceived.

Relax, to quote Jim Morrisons ghost "book them and they will come".

What's Zodiac's problem? Routes are friggin hard work and if those blokes are willing to put in the hours and let us have the result gratis, then good on them. I'm more than happy to give them as much praise as they want; they deserve it, and then some more. If they want to be a bit sensitive, so what? No skin off my back. Phil, there's loads of stuff around to play with until whatever you want comes out, have a look at some of the fantastic routes from other countries.

I have absolutely no problem with the Content Gods at all.

I have nothing but the highest praise and respect for their collective work.

I only wish I had the same skill level with the requisite programs myself.

The majority of content that has been released in recent times has been of the highest order and a very enjoyable to use.

But, being an eighth dan black belt of Gmax does not actually improve ones people skills.

I manage twenty creative and technical people everyday and there are some personality traits that are common throughout.

As you have seen I have explained to Phil what gets up peoples noses and how to prepare one self to deal with it.

With the risk of repeating myself I have nothing but the highest praise and respect for the Content Gods work and thank them very kindly for sharing it with us.

Hi Zodiac,
It is less than 4 years since I got my copy of TSM and started playing. I had never played with a 3D package and did not know what photo real really meant in that context. My first model was a simple platform shelter - 3 walls, a roof and a plank for a seat. Two routes and 30 narrow gauge rolling stock later, I would encourage anyone who would like to try their hand at any contribution to the MSTS community and offer any assistance that I can. Remember that you live within a stone's throw of two of Australia's premium builders plus you have the forum with some clever minds as well.
I have no doubt that if you manage 20 people, you will have the latent expertise just waiting for a call up.
If you never never try, you'll never never know.
Cheers

I shall prepare the MSTS alter. Will a fatted calf, first born or a virgin be required for this release?

We're in trouble, then. Where do we find a virgin in this day and age?
