Finally got around to looking at my pics. Unfortunately they're all a bit grainy - here's the best of 'em:

I also wanted to send a greeting to George, an ex-railwaymen, current lurker here, that I met there. Some good stories to be told of years gone by in the south Well Done .

I am SO moving to Victoria Street!!

Check out my pics at http://bwana.fotopic.net

Thanks for sharing nosecone! Great footage once again! I'm curious, is that bridge near the station at all, looks like you had good lighting there for down trains?

I'm sorry I couldn't get out and see her going home though, but I was stuck at work D:

Well thanks but it's not great footage really. It's just a record, captured on a little still camera set to movie mode ... camera placed on a ledge and left running while we take rool stills. The in-built mic suffers from the slightest breeze.

The bridge is a few hundred metres south of Mt Colah station but it's a location best left for mid-morning shots. By the time 402 arrived at 11.39, the sun had just moved to the other side (see catenary mast shadows). 35 minutes earlier, it was a different story but still too acute a sun angle for my liking: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnH0ooHCR8Y

Well, as you said, it's a record - that's all my shoddy video footage is too, is a record. A snapshot of time and place. And for that, it's great.

I know what you mean about the built in mic - I have the same issues with my little point and shoot that I let do the video work. I would buy a proper video camera, but I'm spending more money on lenses and kit to worry about it Smile.

Thanks also for the information on the bridge - I might suss it out a bit before pegging it as a spot for a tour. Cheers Very Happy

Nosecone -Looks like the Belmont Parade road bridge you were filming from. Always thought about getting a shot from there as it is just up the road from HMC.
Cheers
