Here is a perfectly formed English sentence mangled by the smeg filter.
The filter has replaced my use of the word "c-o-c-k", refering to a male bird, not the male organ, with "smeg". "Smeg" isn't a synonym. In this context it is an abomination. It makes something "dirty" when it isn't. The filter does nothing except completely alter the meaning of the sentence.
I don't mind the smeg filter if it makes sense and this doesn't.
"C-o-c-k", the male bird, is frowned on in parts of the USA as too sexual, and rooster is used instead.
Why do we need to go down this path?
And what of the good old Australian political saying: "If it's a choice between a conspiracy and a c-o-c-k-up go for the c-o-c-k-up every time"?
Smegup just doesn't cut the mustard, I'm afraid.

You can say cockerel though. Still, it is a problem once you try to discuss the pneumatic system of a railway locomotive in any depth.
I have to agree, certainly so far as the word c0ck is concerned. This is a legitimate and correct word in the rail industry eg end c0ck, trainpipe c0ck, isolating c0ck etc and if the filter has any flexibility the word c0ck should be permitted.

A'ha, so we have the mods attention in this thread.
So seriously, can we at least get the work c.o.c.k into the dictionary, it's a real pain to discuss anything to do with braking systems knowing that the results will be butchered. Before you ask, no we can't use a different word, these are the accepted and understood terms.
